One of nature’s divine oxymorons; delicate and feminine as a cut flower, yet remarkbly tenacious as a planted shrub, highly likely to outlive its gardener. The iconic peony, with is enormous ruffled blooms has come to symbolise romance as much as honour, fortune and prosperity while being deeply tied to royalty in Chinese tradition.
